Rear Speaker Grille Rattling
My speaker on the driver side behind the rear seats is rattling. How do I fix this? It stops when I put my hand on it

what year car?
you should put it in your sig I believe you were the guy looking for exhaust for a 2003 (could be wrong here) Fixing that rattle the right way is a lot of work The speaker grill is attached to the package tray. The package tray is attached to the rear deck with a bunch of tension pins (not sure of correct name) anyway removing the package tray will most likely cause many of them to tear out from the cardboard tray. - which sucks Anyway the short easy method is to wedge something between the speaker grill base and the package tray. Fold of some thin stiff cardboard (like a playing card) and wedge that in there and see if that does the trick (it will) cause the other method is way too much work. |
Without knowing the year we cant give specific advise.
But I use foam weatherstripping to eliminate rattles, but it between the two hard surfaces. |
It's a 2003 lx

have you removed the grills to verify? sometimes the third brake light rattles against the glass. i wedge some foam in there. foam is your friend.
