Default Remote Starter / keyless entry

My car has power locks but no keyless entry system. I want to install a remote starter+alarm combo in my car. I have a manual transmission though. Is this going to be a lot of trouble to install this? If yes is it simple to install only a keyless entry system. Is this something I can do myself. Are there any particular brands or devices that you recommend for this.
Is there an immobilizer chip in the 2001 LX ? and will this cause problems for the remote starter or the keyless entry?

Thanks.
