Does anyone know if a 10" alpine type R will hit harder or a rockford fosgate?

it depends on what rockford model we r talkin about if you are talking bout hx2 or t1 or t2 then no way type will have a very nice sound to them the will def. get loud and stay clean with 500 watts and with the right box u could hit high 130s
