What is UF Type? Is that micro fiber copper? Or is that the larger braided strands? I'm running my zx750.1 off 4awg, so I hope my micro fiber is sufficient. I've been thinking about running a 2awg, but I don't think it'll be worth it. My amp pounds my CVX hard as heck with the 4awg.

I'm not really sure, but I'd imagine that it is large strand. I used the most conservative values that I have available. I've been told that microstrand carries more current because the electricity tends to ride the surface of the strands. I'm a mechanical engineer, not an electrical one, so it's really not my field of expertise, but I do have a lot of info on all types of engineering. If it helps, the page that I have coppied has columns for [TW, UF - 60deg. C]; [RHW, THHW, THW, THWN, XHHW, USE, ZW - 75deg. C]; [TBS, SA, SIS, FEP, FEBP, MI, RHH, RHW-2, THHN, THHW, THW-2, THWN-2, USE-2, XHH, XHHW, XHHW-2, ZW-2 - 90deg. C].
Given the # of other types, I'd guess that the worst 2 are old and/or unused, but I might be wrong.
Note that these values are for 86deg. F ambient temp. The wires have more capacity when it's colder and less when hotter. There are fairly significant increases in capacity for the second and third columns.

Easiest way is to add up the total RMS value of all channels from all amps, double it then divide by 13.8. This will give you your current draw. This is what should decide your wire size.
For instance, my Polk Audio 4 channel amp is 90x4 and my Polk sub amp is 800x1. 1160. Double that and its 2320. Divide that by 13.8 and IVe got 168 amps. Thats 1/0 gauge territory.
If that amp is 500 watts RMS, then thats 72 amps drawn. Thats just right for 4 gauge. It also depends on the length of the cable. If youre only running it 5 feet, 8 gauge would be fine. If youre going end to end on a Lincoln Town car, 4 would be the minimum.

memphis pr amp is fused at 50 amps so i say as long as you have 50/60 amp fuse up front on your run of 8 awg wire you should be fine. All our stinger kits come fused at 60 amps so say its a pefect match unless you are going to upgrade

If you're having issues with dimming, do the big 3. All you need is about 10' of 1/0 wire and 6 terminal rings. You may even need less wire, I forgot exactly how much I'm using but it's about 8'. It will greatly reduce dimming and is the cheapest method. I would still recommend it even if you don't have any dimming. Here's a link on how to do it.
