There are alot of good amps out there! Just try to go with name brand and look them up on Google. Usually you'll find a few sites that have reviews on your amplifier. When I was looking for an amp I only considered ones with a fan to help keep it cool and increase its life, but thats my opinion. I have an Audiobahn amp by the way. If you might possibly be adding subs then go with a headunit that has a pair of pre-outs (red and white plugs). It'll make installation a heck of a lot easier. Good luck.

I have used a couple Sony amps, pretty nice amps. Been a while though. If you want to look high end, check out Zapco.....www.zapco.com. Reference, Studio, and Competition series are what I recommend. I have a Z25 for my components and a Z50 for my one sub with an Audiocontrol 4XS crossover to separate the signal. I would also recommend a set of component speakers. More install work, but they sound great. I had a old set of Polk's in my old car, Infinity reference series now. Haven't seen the components that Pioneer makes. Go for what sounds good to you, you will be listening to it.

It depends on what you want. There are so many variables that go into picking an amp. Like power, quality, price, and so on. I personally like JL's but if you dont want to spend that kind of money there are cheaper ones and there are also a lot more expensive ones.

Rockfort Fosgate, Hi-Fonics, Zapco to name a few. Your budget is the limit to what you need. Go for quality first!

Sony stuff is only average, especially HU's.
I used to be well into it all but changed cars, took it all out and then son passed his test and claimed the lot for his own. The install I let him have was worth half again what he paid for the car.[&:]I had 142dB when I had it in my VR6.
We rate Pioneer. JBL make decent amps for not a lot of cash.
