Default Best bug + tar remover?

What exactly is the best bug and tar remover that I can get from local stores like Autozone or Wal-Mart?
And should I use a microfiber towel, or one of those cheap sponges w/ the net around it?

I have tried turtle wax bug n tar remover but it comes out in a stream and doesnt work all that well.

Thanks!

I dunno if it's available retail, but this stuff called Ardex works like a charm. Acetone or mineral spirits might work, but wait for someone else to reply on how bad that is for the clear coat. I've never had any luck with the "over-the-counter" stuff.

^^^ and bond to the metal so no precleaner or primer will ever work properly effectively destroying the finish permanently with no possibility of repair other than full replacement.
