Default Best way to clean carpet

Carpet is one of the dirtiest places in a car. Each time we get in our car, we drag in more dirt and grime. Last weekend I was on a drive with my friend and one of my friends spilled a can of root beer on the car carpet. I tried to a clean car carpet of an another car before, but it bleached the carpet which I do not want again. Wondering whats the best product and technique do you guys suggest to perform this task. Well, I was told to get Mothers carpet & upholstery cleaner from AutoBarn.

Any recommendations..?

I have been detailing for 5 years now and i use reg old carpet stuff. If its a tough stain OxyPro® Carpet Spot and Stain Remover and use that first. If you could get your hands on a hand a auto care proheat machine, that would be best. I use alot of stuf from them and never had a problem.
Here is a link to there site should take you right to the Auto care Proheat machine.

i recommend removing the carpet from the car. that way you can easily access every spot. you can also use larger home based machines with ease.

in all, removing the carpet should take about 30 minutes, assuming you know how to disassemble the car. helpful tip - i always use baby food jars or storage bins to save and label all bolts/screws by location.

Last time i really cleaned the carpet i removed the carpet and layed it in the bed of my dads truck and drove over to the car wash. I hung it up and used the sprayer. worked great
