Default Scratch Removal

So while I was at the University this winter, Some drunk guy slid across the hood of my car, and basically ruined the hood with the scratches he put into it. I don't know who actually did it, otherwise I would have a very simple solution to this problem lol. But anyway, does anybody know how to get like really large and numerous clear coat scratches out of my car? Or should I just save my money and buy a Carbon Fiber hood to replace this ruined hood? I can post pictures if you guys want... I tried waxing the car the other day, and that got out some of the smaller ones, but the larger ones remain. I didn't try my scratch removal stuff, because I don't think it can deal with this. I ordered some wet paint today, but I don't think that it really helps scratches, I ordered that moreso because it just look awesome lol. Anyway, all advice would be appreciated...

If you can feel the scratches with your fingernail they can't be removed but their appearance can possibly be lessened. You'll need to find a detailer in your area that has experience with a rotary buffer or possibly a body shop to get opinions.

Okay lol, I'll check with some body shops around here, I know a good one that repainted my BMW, but if they are going to charge me a lot, I think I'll probably just buy a Carbon Fiber hood lol.
