Default slipperey seats

i bought an '04 in excellent condition except the seats are very slippery. they are not greasy so i don't really know if something such as a conditioner was applied to the leather that made them slick.

my question is: are Honda leather seats naturally slick? if not then are there any recommendations for what to use to clean the seating surfaces to take them back to comfortable and not slick?

thanks for any replies.

You could try a leather cleaner which should remove whatever the seat was dressed with, then follow up with a conditioner. What other vehicle are you comparing the seats to? I have leather in my Accord and they are way slicker than the ones in my wife's Camry or my former F350. They are probably as slick as my wife's old Grand Cherokee or my parent's Volvo though. Just depends on the grain of leather to a point.

i've never had a Honda before so i was not sure what sure what the leather seats were like compared to other makes of cars. i stopped in at the Honda dealer to make comparisons and the seats in the '04 Accord are really no different than the leather seats in new cars at the dealer.

i will clean them just because i enjoy detailing cars and that would be a normal part of my process. they are very nice seats and comfortable!

our other cars is a BMW, and the leather is somewhat different than in the Honda. not better just different in feel and texture.

thanks!
