Year and trim accord : 2005 ex V6


Your request for a DIY write up : how to remove the front and rear speakers.

Any additional notes that need to be added :
I know the rear are 6x9 but all I can find is that the front is 17cm what size is that(6.5inch converted to 16.5cm)

Thank you for filling out the form.

You need an adapter to replace the front speakers, the factory speakers are molded into a three point mounting bracket. 6.5" component sets are recommended for the front, also replacing the factory dash tweeter. When I replace front speakers, I make a mounting adapter like the one described here:

I will look for removal instructions for you.

Note: if you purchase new speakers from Crutchfield, they give you vehicle specific instructions for replacing front and rear speakers, including necessary mounting adapters. this saves you time and money and everything is authorized so the warranty is honored.

Thx alot that helps, especially that part about crutchfield.com cus I had them on my favorite list until i had to reinstall windows and lost everything and forgot the website.
