Default ODB1 Setup

I know this is an oldie but it is what I got.
1990 Accura EX SOHC

My question is..How do I make a setup to read ODB1 codes. In essence, I want to know what equipment I need because shops rarely have it. You help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My guess is that it's the same as the Accord/Civic of that year. Meaning... you only have to watch an LED flashing on the ECU. In the Accord that's located in the passenger footwell, all the way forward where your toes would be (pull down the carpet & look under some bracket or something).

I was looking for ODB1 readers and they excluded the accord from the onex I found, so there must be a difference. If its an LED. How do I get it to start outputting, and how do I read it?

I found the codes from you links. I would really like to find a device I could run like the OB2 readers

Honda had a proprietary device, before the 1996 start of the federal OBD-2 requirement. I'm not sure how early that started.
