Fair answer there..yes Linkage could have fallen off indeed but it didn't..

Ah...Haaaa to The Johnny Be Good dude, he be on the leading edge to the answer...
Johnny says bad clutch master cylinder and He Is Right...Give that man the Cigar..
Also another good answer (and its' correct) is that You might also have a Broken Release Bearing or Fork..and that's the truth...
