Brand new user to the forum here.

I bought an 08 accord last year as my first ever car. I love it and it seemed like a great example. However, the engine has now started to become a lot noisier, particularly on start up.

I dont know if rod bearings are gone / cylinders knocking or if it's just the normal sound of a 10 year old diesel car.

Not much power pulling off either, really slow to get out of first/pull off. Or am I not being aggressive enough with cluth and accelerator?

Also, whenever I add revs, the engine makes this weird whining/whirring noise.

Really want to get this car running perfect as I plan on keeping it for a number of years.

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated!
