Default 2000 accord engine swap

I have a 2000 accord 4 door lx model with a 2.3 ULEV with a 5spd with 195k on the engine. I have a couple of questions about an engine swap. Is it possible to swap in a V6 engine and still keep the manual transmission? Can I swap in a J30A4 from the 2003 and up Accord. Reason I want the J30A4 is it comes with 240 HP, and the J30A1 comes with 200 HP. I have been a mechanic for over 10 years and I am comfortable doing the installation myself but lack the Honda knowledge. I'm sure that I can at least put in the J30A1 but if by doing so I loose my 5 speed than I'll scratch the whole idea. I do live in California and it will have to pass smog.

You won't be able to swap in a V-6 & keep your transmission because the engines spin the opposite direction & are mounted in opposite ends of the engine bay. You'll have to bring whatever tranny comes with the V-6. I think I've heard that a potential swap is an Acura CL with manual tranny??

If you do that you'll need a tremendous amount of unrelated stuff. Battery is on the wrong side. Power steering hoses go to the wrong side. Air intake. Airconditioning piping. And on & on...

it would be better to put in an h22 motor. they fit easily into the 98-01 accord chasis with hardly any modification. h22 is 200hp and 161 torque. throw a turbo or supercharger on the h22 and your set.
