2002 Accord Won't Shift Out Of Park

Help please.
2002 Accord will not shift out of park. Yes, I did try depressing the brake.

This is a common problem actually. On your gearbox, you will see a little slot next to the shifter, like a plastic tab. That is the shift lock release. Pop out the tab and stick a key or a screw driver in the shift lock release and see if that works. A blown out brake light or brake light fuse might also be the problem. Hope this helps. Let me know!

Also check to see if your brake lights work. Another common problem is a bad switch at the brake pedal.
