7th gen 50,000 mile tune up....
Just reached 50k on the 04 Accord....
was looking to do a tune up myself rather than pay the dealership 300-400 to do 90% of the things i can do in my garage
as of right now i am planning on doing the following.
- Air filter is K&N (so im just gonna clean it)
- cabin air filter replace
- replace all sparkplugs (any suggestions to performance plugs???)
- replace fuel filter (any suggestions to specific fuel filters? or are they all similiar)
- obviously top off everything that needs topping off.... check all loose wires, pipes, tubes
- air pressure in tires
anything else i should think about doing?
i was debating getting spark plug wires.... i've seen these range from $30-$250
is it necessary? will i notice anything by replacing them?
should i flush my system?
anything im missing?
thanks...

RE: 7th gen 50,000 mile tune up....
Don't bother replacing the sparkplugs till 105K. You are wasting your money if you do. The stock NGK plugs perform the best. I wouldn't replace the wires unless they are damaged (highly unlikely).
I don't know if you even have a fuel filter (my 6th gen doesn't), but I don't have a 7th gen so I'm not 100% sure.
See what your user manual says for service as well.
