I'm new to the honda scene, since I have had mainly toyotas, but I recently got an 89 accord lx for $150. It runs fine, but I just want to get some more power in there. Are there any engines that are "easier" to swap in than others or are there even any I could put in there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!

 

any motor can be swapped into any car. those old accords run devilishly mean with an h22a though

 

Yeah, if you want a good n/a car the jdm h22a thats 220hp would be the one to hunt for.
If you want a turbo setup and you get that 220hp engine youre going to have to swap out the pistons for lower compression ones and most likely sleeve the block if you run more then 8 psi of boost, and if anyone tells you to boost that jdm engine without changing the pistons, its 11:1 compression pistons in it...... you wont be running boost for long
