89 accord wont start
the problem is the car wont start, i had symptoms for about a week, when the car would get near empty it would run badly when you first start it, only on two cylinders, drive a few minutes and then it kicks into three cylinders, and a few minutes later all four are firing, after you fill it up, no more problems, the last time the car got low on gas it died, and hasnt started back. i changed the distributor, the fuel pump is working fine. and i changed spark plugs and plug wires, no fix... any help?
also when the car was running, it surged at idle, any help with that would help too.

how long ago was fuel filter replaced?
also may be the carburator needs to be cleaned?
also - i'm thinking the evaporation from the gas tank might be clogged (i'm guessing here) it takes time for fuel pump to build pressure when the tank is near empty.
when you fill up your car - does it fills up regulary or pumps unclicks with some intervals?
