Default 89 LXI K20 Swap

Im looking at the probability of swaping a K20 i-vtech OR a F20 turbo in to my 89 LXI.

I have done a few swaps but not Accord swaps. A GSR B-18 into a 95 DX, A GSR into a Del Sol, B16 vtech into a hatch. I want to do something that will really boost the appeal of this car. Im really into the stock body styling of this car (it is similar to my 92 itgra). I think it would be a sweet ride with the swap. Im just not finding that people like to rock out the A20 that is in this car. I had it at the track (not to race it) and everyone said that it was a cool little ride but just missed the train when it comes to hanging with the tuner sceen. Mabey you guys know of a place where I can find parts for the original motor? Mabey some JDM styling?

Im still opting for the swap - I found a K20 for 1700.00 shipped (includes motor, trannie, ecu, harnesses), and a F20 (no turbo but includes ecu, motor, trannie) for 650 shipped. Either way I could get them both in the car and tuned for around 2 grand.

ANY suggestions pointers questions hints are much appreciated.

Thanks

good thinking on the K swap thats the way to go... might need some hood modifications...personaly i would go for a K24A2 from a TSX its a full Vtech 2.4L with tons of torque... (i have a stock K24A4 and i can beat a B-18 integra with nearly a full Type R conversion) basicly with the big block u get the torque with more HP...

Yeah I have pondered that thought. Im glad you actually brought up the hood conversion. I am told that you can keep your stock hood on if you use the mounts from a CRV?? I have seen a hatch with this and it seemed to be ok. I think that the reason you WOULD HAVE TO do the conversion is the mounting height. I am looking into this as we talk. I would love to see that ride run!
