Default 92 Honda Accord EX

My 92 Accord will not start on some hot summer days. It will kill at other times (Seems like with 1/2 gas tank ). I have tried everything. When I remove the gas cap there seems to be a lot of back pressure (Even with a new after market gas cap). Do I have a bad gas pump? Do I have something in the tank plugging the pump? Am I experiencing a vapor lock? Need to know. wdl

Welcome! Is it summertime now? (are you down-under?)

If it starts after you open up the car & let the interior cool down, then you should suspect the main relay.

There's also a kind of nozzle on the fuel pump. If that falls off, the pump sucks from a few inches up instead of from the bottom of the tank.
