so you swapped your f22b2 (non vtec) for what obd2 accord engine? f22b1 (vtec) ?? Or another f22b2? What ecu are you usein? Also if your new engine is obd2 and your car is obd1 you will need a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness.

if the f22b2 was from a 96 then it's obd2. So you will need to buy a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness. You can use your original ecu since it was a obd1 f22b2 ecu. With the harness that should fix your issue

is the 94 external or internal coil?
Also is the 96 internal or external?

If you don't know you can tell by looking at them. If the dizzy is internal it will only have 4 spark wires going to the head. If it's external you will have 5 wires coming off the dizzy.

See how the dizzy on the left only has 4 spots for wires? That internal.
The one with 5 spots is external.

You can use either or. But it would be easier to use the dizzy that is meant for your car. There will be no added steps to make it work. Plug and play.

it would be easier to stay external. But you can use either or. So don't get rid of the 96 dizzy you might need it later on. I swapped my f22a to a internal coil b/c my coil pack went bad. I had my f22b1 dizzy laying around and use it. You just have to put a 30amp fuse in the socket that use to plug into the coil pack on your wiring harness
