hey everyone i gotta 94 accord lx and i bought it with a cracked block.. ******* never told me. so anyway i got my mechanic to get me a new motor... but instead of the original 2.2 non vtec im gettin a 2.2 vtec. so my question is will i need a new ecu/ecm?

 

to do it right, you will need the vtec ecu and the wire harness. but at the least, get the ecu and you can run the 2 wires for the vtec solenoid and the vtec pressure switch from the computer yourself.

 

I agree with the above. You will definitley need a VTEC ECU
