97 accord lx 2dr engine? Parts websites?
Hey everybody, I have a 97 accord with the f22b2 (265k miles). I really want to swap the engine with a newer motor that leans more towards performance. From the research I've done Ive decided I want to get the h22 from a prelude, but I don't know anything about where to buy a motor.
I want to work on my car, but with sooo many miles on my current motor, it would be a waste to put any money in the engine. Any tips or pointers would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

you can find swaps at hmotorsonline.com
they have very fair prices. Know many ppl who bought from them. You get low mile JDM engines. IF you do go for the h22 swap. Make sure to spend the extra few hundred dollars for the LSD transmission.

well it really depends on your power goals and how much money you have to spend.
The h22 is the most practical swap and a pretty much drop in and go set up with a few slight mods. IF you want more than 200hp then think about turbo. If you want to turbo find another f22 engine and build and boost. easy 300hp on stock internals even more with a built engine. Now if you have deep pockets you can always turbo a h22 engine but it gets costly since for the most par you need to re-sleeve the block FOR THE MOST PART. But you can buy special pistons to do the job without re-sleeving the block (get more into that later if that's what you want to do)
IF turbo a h22 engine your looking at around 5-6k to do it the RIGHT WAY.
There are other engine choices if you want to build them…Just stay away from f22b1 or f22b2 engines the heads flow for crap and not worth spending money on.
