Was wondering if it would be possible to swap my f22 for a 3.0 or a 3.2L '97 acura cl engine? Did anyone ever etempted or knows who did and what needs to be done?

 

you better just be a good welder or take it to a good shop that motor doesnt fit in the bay very well.

 

that old school vtech is really low tech. its not like the 99- 03 3.2 motor especially the 3.0 one. the power curve is not even close to being flat. its really a dog before vtech trying to get good gas mileage and then it has a drastic jump on vtech which sucks the hell out of your gas.i just wouldnt recommend it. i would go with an h22

 

wait, wasn't that year accord available with a VTEC V-6??? I thought they were, or were the front end designs different to accomodate the bigger motor???

 

The 97 accord used the same V-6 found in the early 86-90 Legends, They were only 175hp. The V-tech 6 came in Accords in 98 with the newer body style.

 

yup, they were, and they stretched out the accord to fit the 2.7 in it. chop shops aren' a totally bad thing

 

Firewall sapcing is different. Wiring would be a sommmabieotch.
