Default Acceleration & idle

I have a 1995 honda accord ex...vtec, although I have 20 inch rims on it my take off is sluggish and when in 3rd gear my idle gets a low & deep sound, it's an automatic by the way.

Rolling resistence takes longer to get you moving with big wheels as does stopping with those big wheels..car wasn't designed with those in mind..

Thank You for posting.

Larger wheels reduce acceleration not improve it.

If idle is below 600 rpm, your idlle air control valve, throttle plate and throttle bore need a good cleaning.

good luck
