CFT does good work. Few cars in my area have been boosted by them.

did they give you an estimate on close to how much that would be?

Since that shop has probably never boosted a C-series engine (very few have!), the kit will most likely have to be all custom. If they can keep it to maybe 5-7 pounds of boost, you may not need to have internal work done (meaning, all you will need will be things like turbo manifold, intercooler and piping, possibly new fuel injectors/fuel pressure regulator, etc.).
But, if you're gunning for the big numbers, horsepower-wise, you'll need custom 8.5:1 or 9:1 pistons, rods, head studs, etc., which may double your price (or even more). Not to mention dyno tuning your A/F ratio on a wideband. Look forward to hearing your progress, and how it turns out. |
A buddy got a quote to boost sock f22a cb7 it was like around 3k. That was with parts labor and tune. This was also 3 years ago too tho…
As for CFT not boosting c series engines I wouldn’t doubt them. They have boosted just about everything. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvjxP3sYMyk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YtSp...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tpv6m...eature=related couple good CFT vids:D |
