any low temp thermostats?

Default any low temp thermostats?

hey all, my car starts to overheat in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I was thinking if I got a lower temp thermostat, this would solve my problem. I think the stock thermo fully opens at 192'F. Would 170' be too low? How bout 180? It doesn't overheat, but does go 3/4 of the way to the "H".

PS: Radiator fluid and coolant are normal, as for fan operation.

second that...

in any event, unless you are just going to drive it to the ground, which i dont think you are...i would go through the effort of fixing it right, not just rigging it up...

not the radiator cap, still OEM. Should I get a Greddy cap or Apexi?

i think another oem would be fine...but i would defintely change it...if your system is not pressurizing properly, that could cause it to overheat...

I think I'll get an Apexi, I think it looks pretty good. I'll give it a try. thanks for the help
