why do you want a chip? Do you have supporting mods to need a new tune?
Or do you think a chip will give you more power?...cus it won't

can't chips change shift points and add more fuel to the A/F mixture? That would make the car quicker, I would think!

Default Exhaust Manifold

Wuts going on HAF. Just joined you folks up here, but neway, I have a 05 Accord coupe 6spd, and im really considering getting an upgraded intake manifold. My question is has anyone ever done this Mod, and if so, what was the result. Depending on the feedback, im considering addin an AEM v2 and a tanabe catback system.

shift points are for auto trans...and no a ecu chip will not do that. 2 diff. computers...tcu and ecu. One is for the trans and one is for the engine. If you have 5speed there is no computer for the trans it at all. You are the computer.

Changing the a/f ratio without supporting mods is a waste of money. Your stock ecu dose that already on it's own.
If you have supporting mods as...

FULL exhaust
CAI/SRI
Port and Polish
Bored tb and port matched
Cam shaft(s) and gears
Valve train...the list can go on

If you have 3 or more of thos then yes you would look to upgrade your ecu to a tunable one to get either a street tune or dyno tune.

Hey guys, Im new to the Accord forums, and Im looking to add extra power with (you guessed it,) little money. I now only have a Short ram CAI, and a T-304 muffler. Would a new exhaust header be my next step, or are there cheaper ways to go for more HP and TQ?

Fact of life, there is no such a thing. If someone or some company says they have such a thing, they are playing you for a sucker.

You don't need a chip for that. Just go to a different gas station ⛽ 😁
