your going to need quite the aggressive cam to make the 200hp the h22 makes, which means its not going to idle, its not going to get good gas mileage, you may need new springs and retainers. its not going to be a practical daily driver, where as the h22 makes 200hp reliably, and has alot more potential from there.

as for the nitrous argument, you would only have to run premium while at the track(because we know no one on here street races). it would still be the same daily driver. the stock engine can handle a 50, maybe even a 75 shot no problem.

i amhowever a believe that thef22 motor is garbage, and is not good for anything but grocery getting. In my opinion it has0 potential, pay thousands for a turbo kit to make stock h22 power with less reliabilty, or get a h22 and have unlimited potential for power.

but i guess to each his own, i personally would not spend any money on a f22

The H22 makes 200hp at the crank, not the wheels. The gas mileage argument is null and void. You're modding your engine, gas mileage goes out the window. As long as it gets better than a V8 truck or suv, its good gas mileage. Springs and retainers are still around $2-300. Personally, if you care that much about how your car idles, you're in the wrong game. We're talking a mild streetable cam, nota race cam that idles @ 1500rpm.

Only putting premium in on days you go to the track is stupid. You still have a mix of 87/93...it takes a fill up or two to fully run all the 87 out of the fuel system.

BTW - every engine has its limits.

Every engine has potential with the proper work done and money put into it.

You can get a cam custom ground to however, wherever, you want the power. The possibilities are quite essentially, endless.
Well said there member, dial in your horsepower with all the correct cam kits...
