Fayetteville... yea when i go through huge puddles that are about 5 or 6 inches deep i let off the gas .... if your flooring it to go through a huge puddle then your just asking to hydroplane off the road or get your engine wet [>:]......

Durham I spent a couple tours at Bragg though.
I advise anyone regardless of intake (sri, cai, or stock) becareful in the rain. In San Antonion when it flooded, people decided to try and cross water sections and ended up either hydrolocking the engine or floating downstream! Not smart.

Comptech's icebox air intake system claims to prevent any water whatsover form getting into the engine.
What Patrick says makes a whole lot of sense, but i think if there is a system out there that can give you some added protection, then why not at least investigate it.

which aem system?, i have not seen that one yet in my research. i was thinking i was stuck going with very expensive comptech, although im sure aem is probably in the same price range. let me know if you get a chance.

It's just a valve that you install on an intake system. You have to cut your piping to install it though. www.aempower.com
