i was reading some guy's mods for his accord and he says he has
~OBX Racing Silicone Radiator Hoses~

 

Basically they are just colored and dress up the engine a bit. It may lower temperatures of the coolant by a smidge.

 

like 19accord97 said, they look pretty but don't do much (if anything) else...

 

I was under the impression that they were a bit more durable than standard hoses but I don't know if it's enough to offset the cost difference.

Yeah, they do make a difference. They transfer heat better and do last longer then oem parts. I don't know about OBX ones, although I was looking at the set myself on ebay. But why do you think a pair of silicone samco hoses for an accord is $240 sure not for just to look cool?

 

why do neon kits cost up to 1000 bux? to look cool... silicone hoses are no better than the OEM... they just look cool...

 

the hoses on my 94 accord are still the oem ones....yeah the car is 14 years old :P
