Default ECU for Honda Accord

Hello Honda holics
got a 2006 Accord with vin number JHMCL96905C215844
I'm looking for an ECU

the ECU in my car got a part number of 37820-RBB-E54 ; I'm searching the internet for one(mainly ebay)
but the majority of results is showing 37820RBBA54
would this start my car or I need the one ending with E54?
kindly advise

What you're looking for is one with the donor car that has the same specs. So if you have a 4cyl automatic with dual climate control that's the donor car you're looking for

The VIN decoder says its invalid, but most likely that means it's not a USDM car.

yes the car is EUDM (originally for Germany)

one thing is that Honda says that the part number has changed to the one below
so if I find one in the scrap with this number below would it start my car?

37010-RBB-309

I don't think I can find out the answer, but we do have some members in UK and Europe. We got that car badged as an Acura TSX but if I look up the part number for a USDM Acura it might not prove anything. Pretty common to have a different PCM for different markets.

My first thought is what the dealer said is likely true. For most car makers its not unusual to supersede part numbers a few years after.

for the Acura TSX the part number is the same but the only difference is the letter before the 54
so instead of 37820RBBE54 it is 37820RBBA54
there are a lot on ebay 37820RBB
A54 (Acura)
if I buy one of these would my car run?

If the ECU was superseded it can be used. I had to do one when I was in Europe and it worked perfectly. It has to be the same car to work. On the 03-07 models in the US the are interchangeable because they are the same car even though the ECU was updated

That part number for the TSX is not interchangeable for your car

37010-RBB-305 for the US car with automatic transmission
37010-RBB-307 for the US car with manual transmission
