Um... nowhere. A remap isn't going to do any good unless you have an NA or FI build.

NA = Naturally Aspirated (Aggressive cams, bored block, etc.)

FI = Forced Induction (turbocharger, supercharger, etc.)

If he's got a manual tranny, he can get the Hondata K-Pro chip and flash.

True, but it would then need to be dyno tuned, and even then the gains would be minimal and not worth the cost.

K-Pro isn't dynotuned. It knocks about 1 second off of the K-series 0-60 stock.

From what I've read, it makes the cam and spark timing more aggresive. K-series has an adjustable intake camshaft ..... this gets tweaked. The ignition timing gets advanced some too.

Uh no you can still reflash your ecu without building your motor....its called vtec..values...AIR/fuel ratios ....but any way Jet used to do those

Um... dude the whole point of ECU tuning/mapping is to get the stoichiometric value as close to 14.3:1 as possible, which is only truly achievable with a data logging, realtime, tuning app, a chipped ECU and a wideband O2 sensor.

I never said you couldn't reflash it, but it's pointless on an unbuilt motor. When the car is running open loop, it's taking reading from sensors and adjusting the spark and fuel itself and virtually runs near 14.3:1 unless the car hasn't been maintained. When in closed loop, aka WOT or heavy acceleration, the ECU ditches the sensors and goes straight to a table of spark and injector rates for any given RPM.

And yes, you can change when VTEC engages, along with fuel cut off and speed limiter.

For the record, his car is OBDII which means everything I said is meaningless unless he gets Hondata K-Pro. And.... JET Performance is the biggest waste of money and full of BS.

Here is Crome, what I tuned a P28 ECU with:

its not pointless it still helps well if you said is right and the computer elies onitself when under hard acceleration then by reflashing the ecu and changingit to aggressive values will help your power built or not.
