Default ecu swap

Hi,
I have a 99 honda accord and I was planning to change the ecu. I was told i needed to have my keys programmed to the new ecu. Has anyone done this before and how much do you think it would cost? And is the dealership the only place i could get this done? your input would help alot. thanks
