Question for you mtcox, if you use it all night long, there isn't any danger of overheating or anything like that. Just starting to look into it and I'm clueless at this point. Thanks for the help.

Can't remember off the top of my head but they either have a cut out or are only set to heat at/to a certain point. So there is no risk "over heating" the coolant.

amccinns,

I have had no issues at this point. Poorman212 has a good point, though. I should ensure the valve is left open to the heater core and cabin so the entire system can heat overnight. The car doesn't struggle to turn over when the heater is plugged in for 6-8 hours. "Struggle" is overkill on the description but I like the idea I'm doing everything I can to help the motor live out a long, healthy life. (The instant heat is a very nice side effect.)
