The dealer said i have a bad engine mount. I know which one it is and im looking to save money. what is the best way to replace it? Through the dealer or a local shop? should i order the part or let the guys working on it deal with it?

Local shops usually (not always) cheaper than dealer. Sometimes local shops will not be willing to use a part that you carry in with you (or they won't WARRANTY their work). Worth a phone call.

Which mount? The rear mount is a pain, but maybe you want to try doing this yourself?

if it's the front or 2 side mounts you can do it yourself pretty easy. As for the rear mount it's a PITA

if its your frount mount that is cake and ice cream...I wanna say it's a 17mm socket and a 17mm wrench is what you will need. Taske you 5min to change that mount.

Use a jack with a piece of wood under the oil pan to support the engine. You'll want to lift slightly because right now the mount is carrying some weight. Loosen the bolts then adjust the jack so they line up & unscrew easily.

Pick a jack that you can easily crank up & down so you can fine-tune the position. That'll help when lining up the bolts on the new mount.

Really. Can you explain the steps on this?

The last one I did I had to remove both radiator fans, and the lower splash guard to get to the bolts.

I can't see a way to get a breaker bar on that horizontal bolt that connect the two mount pieces together without removing the fan.

Can't get to the bottom right mount bolt with the upper part of the mount still attached,.

Please explain, cause I have to do my other Accord Monday.
