Engine Swap Help
Yes I am sure you were thrilled to see the title...I did a search...
Just wondering what other engine can be swapped with the f23a stock engine? H22a...and...what other engine?
I finally decided to keep my 99 accord and save money with it
the h22a have good hp but not much tq...139tq...200 hp. im sure thats not at the wheels either...at the crank probably...
Can someone also direct me to a few GOOD rebuilt engine sites? Thanks!

RE: Engine Swap Help
the f23a has 150hp 150ish ft/lbs of torque at the crank you can swap an h22 in but the reason those have less torque is because they dont have as long of a stroke but the hp offsets it so there will be a difference no matter what.
but you can swap the h22a or h23a's and theres a laundry list of other items you would need

RE: Engine Swap Help
depending on who you talk to they will argue how much better the h22 is, ignoring the fact you dont have to have a dohc to get a lot of power doing head work alone on a f23 can get you up to 190 hp n/a and thats leaving the 9.3:1 compression pistons kick those up to 11:1 and run 92octane and guess what.... youve got a jdm h22a engine right there only its a sohc lol
