Default F22A1 Vtec???

Okay i am getting confused b/c i am reading up on my motor (F22A1) and i keep getting ideas about putting a NON-vtec head on it to better suit a bigger turbo. I jus read from a couple of places that m motor DOES NOT have a vtec head. The actual head is a SOHC and has NO vtec markings on it. I initally thought it wasn't a vtec motor, was told otherwise by a friend that all 90-93 EX Accords have vtec motors, but it is definately an EX, nut once again i am reading that it isn't. Does anyone know for sure or could it be either or?

That would be the smaller (non-vtec) valve cover.
