F22B1 in a 94 accord LX?

Default F22B1 in a 94 accord LX?

well ive found a nice f22b1 engine and was looking to purchase it, but it is a 94-97 Honda Accord EX 2.2L VTEC F22B Engine F22B1 and i wasnt sure if it would fit in a LX model.

Youll need the ECU for the F22B1 and you will need to add a few wires to the Harness. Thats about it, though.

where exactly can i find a new harness and isnt the ecu necessary if ur going from 4 cyl. to V6?

You don't need a new harness. You'll just have to extend or rearrange how some wires are distributed in the engine bay. You will however, have to wire VTEC into your stock engine harness. You could probably find a F22b1 ECU on ebay or junkyard, just make sure its for a 94 or 95.

The engine will drop in fine since the only difference is the VTEC head. I think if you have the F22B2 (non-VTEC) in your LX now, the ECU might work. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the F22B2 ECU has the VTEC spark and fuel tables as well as the VTEC engage in it. A salvaged ECU will run you ~$80 so try yours first. Not sure about the wiring harness and how VTEC is wired...

Yeah im not to worried about the ECU but more or less the wiring. would anyone happen to have a diagram of this? or if possible make one?
