f22b1 block running h23 head/electronics
Hi, sorry I don't have time for a proper intro. My name is TJ, and I am an experienced toyota engine swapper. I'm quite familiar with 3sgte, 3vzfe+t platforms going into MR2s and Celicas. I am new to hondas, and I'm considering taking on a customer project. That is, if I can get all my ducks in a row.
I have a well maintained 110,000 mile f22b1 out of a 94' accord ex. The donor was burnt by vandals destroying everything, except the engine bay. ECU was lost and harness was cut during removal. Customer has an H23 equipped 92' prelude with a bad motor.
Heres the plan, after port matching coolant passages, swap h23 dohc head on f22 block, install into prelude using prelude electronics, and transaxle. Am I missing anything?
Other cliffnotes:
my f22b1 has 5spd, axles shafts, subframe, alt, starter, ps pump, front hubs/brakes/mac. strut, intake, other various parts, everthing except harness and ecu.
Questions:
Is port matching the coolant passages necessary for this particular hybrid motor?
what timing belt? h23 spec?
motor mounts are same?
is the rest of my info correct?

anytime...let us know how it turns out. Doesn’t sound like your customer is doing it for performance. But they will see a drop in power. It won't have the same power as the h23 had. But let us know how it turns out.
