F22b2 obd1 block f22b1 head 97 EX HELP
I'm not sure if I'm at the right posting place but here's my storie,
I own a 97 accord ex f22b1 engine obd2 harness, car is stock, but my block is bad so bad, I decide to buy a used block (f22b1) but no luck finding one so I found a f22b2 with tranny Automatic, so I'm putting my b1 head on b2 block, I already took off the oil orifice, but I find out that the timings BELT are different sizes, witch one do I use the b1 or b2, also I was gonna put some new pistons ring and find out that I have POA pistons I think those are from a f22b1, witch pistons ring should I install b2 or b1 on POA pistons, or are they the same, also I notice that the OBD1 f22b2 doesn't have a crank sensor what's up with that?? Also do I have to change something on the timing side like tensor or something? The b2 block has an auto trany and I have a manual car.

For the belts, you are basically making this a vtec engine so those are the belts.
For the sensor, depends on which way you go. If you want to use the new dist then no. If you are using the dist that came in you car, yes plus you will need the oil pump.
Which head specs are you needing.....I'm unsure of what you are asking for.

So I can install the oil pump of my B1 block on the B2 block and ill work perfect?? I'm not sure what they call but they are the ones that press the spring down.
Is there something else I need to know?? To make this work good? Do I have to change the tensor or something down there, the f22b2 block had an automatic tranny, and my car is 5spd

The oil pump swap is only because the gear on it has a magnet that must pass the "sensor" to tell the computer where the gear is.......and now old age kicks in....I now can't remember if it is the oil pump gear or the crank...pretty sure it is the oil pump gear. Which ever gear is near that sensor. Of course the sensor has to be moved. All of this allows you to use the dist that came OE in the car.
The front end of the engine doesn't care or know the trans. We are worried about making a non vtec OBD-I engine work in a vtec, OBD-II car.

Ok, when I open the engine I saw it had POA pistons in the b2 (f22b2) as far as I knoe POA belongs to f22b1, I'm buying some pistons rings whay should I buy b2 or B1?

I think the wheel that triggers the CYP/TDC sensor is stacked onto the crankshaft along with the timing sprocket. It's not really the "gear" internal to the oil pump.
The reason you change the oil pump is the OBD-2 oil pump has mounting holes for the sensor itself.
