Default f22b2 rebuild

Thinking about rebuilding my f22b2... I've upgrade my intake, header, and exhaust. Now I'm thinking of just rebuilding my f22b2 and boosting the crap out of it, instead of doing a h22 swap. (rebuilding it sounds more interesting) I just want any insight/advice on rebuilding an f22 and what I should do... This would be my first honda rebuild, I know my ropes around engines just not all the specifics of a honda engine. Any advice/comments would help!

The f22s love boost, so you don't have to do much as far as building. I would definitely choose a boosted f22 over an h22, a lot more power potential on a cheaper budget.

The head on the f22bs is the bottle neck in power, so i would focus on that if you want to make more power. bisimoto.com is your source for all your f22 needs.

But a completely stock f22 is capable of 300whp.

Thats what I've been reading alot on different forums and just around the net... the only problem is not alot of people explain/describe how its possible (besides the obvious boosting) What I'm trying to search for is what was installed to get the f22s so much power inside the engine. I'm thinking cams, head studs, pistons? But what else could be upgraded to get my f22 that fast

Well to make 300hp all you have to do is add a turbo and get a good tune, nothing has to be done to the engine itself. Which 300whp is plenty for a street driven car, as you will have trouble putting that much power to the ground without spinning.

Yeah I guess I could do either just boost the stock engine or rebuild it and then boost it.

if you rebuild the f22bx I would swap to a f22a head and ditch your poop flowing f22bx head. Then snag a h23 intake manifold have it ported. Then port matched with a bigger TB. Slam a bisimoto turbo cam with upgraded valve train. Bisi also sells a good set of H beam rods with custom compression ratio of choice pistons for around $700 for the combo (pretty good price)

if you rebuild for turbo make sure to have about 2k set aside for JUST the engine. Then another 2k for a good turbo kit.

Okay I have a few questions about what you said, so will the h23 intake manifold match up with f22a head? And what did you exactly mean by port matched with a bigger Tb? Does that mean like porting out the IM to a certain size and then whatever size its ported too have a TB thats exactly the same size?

Or is it you port the IM where the TB and IM meet and you port the IM to the size of the TB?

yes h23 manifold direct swap.
port match from TB to the end of the runners where the manifold bolts to the head.
Why I said to swap to a f22a head is b/c there is ALOT more potential with a f22a head over a f22bx head. You have a good bit of interchangeable parts from the f22a's and the h23 engine.

Would any f22a head work or is there a more superior one between f22a1-7?
