Idle issue again
Hey all,
I posted here awhile back about an idle problem on my 94 accord EX. The reply I got was fantastic but a little outside of my scope so I took the car down to a mechanic referred to me by a trusted friend. The guy is good and said he got the car all fixed up (bad idle control) and all was well.
I haven't gotten more than a mile down the road and the issue became apparent again. The car initially idled at 800rpm which was dead on but when I turned the AC on the car dropped to 350-400 RPM and was vibrating badly. The AC clutch is kicking on about every three seconds and the car fluctuates between 1000 and 300 RPM every three seconds.
The weirder thing is that when I turned off the AC then the car was idling about 1500. I shut the car off and started it again without the AC on and it idled correctly at 800rpm. I can't imagine the car would have been like this from the start and am coming here again for any ideas.
Apologies for the long thread but I want to give as much info as I can.
Thanks for any help I receive!
Edit: I was told that the AC clutch will kick on very rapidly to avoid burning out the clutch and compressor. Is there anyway to adjust the idle when under load so that there is not such a huge gap between no load idle and load idle?
