Default intake manifold/cam question

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole Honda thing. Been in a few hot mustangs/camaros/firebirds but started a new business that requires me to drive quite a lot, so switched to an accord. Anyway, it's a 96 LX 2.2L, I bought it with CAI, headers, and exhaust already done. I'm looking to the intake manifold/cam now. Any suggestions as to certain products I might look for, and are there any parts I might be able to pull out of a car in a junk yard that would be a direct bolt-on that would give me any gains? Like, for example, if I pulled a prelude intake manifold, is it the same thing or does it flow better than the accord manifold? Anyway, any suggestions that would point me in the right direction? Thanks.

no i dont think you will be able to get anything out of the junkyard except for maybe just a better accord manifold. like an ex. but really i would contact gude for some better stuff if you get their whole head package i think they guarantee like 50 hp it comes with a better head cams intake manifold throttle body everything you need and it bolts right up

Yeah, doing the whole head package will give you some nice gains, I could easily see over 230hp with 11:1 compression pistons. But its a lot of motor work to deal with on that.

I don't doubt the heads would make a big difference, but I never have made it that far on any car I've owned. Partly because I don't have the technical know-how to do the work myself and partly because the heads are so friggin' expensive (it woulda taken a couple grand to buy a good set of aluminum heads for my mustang-not including what I would have paid for labor). Is it any different for the Honda? Does this Gude make a matched intake/cam set (without heads)? And any good websites to check out other than something like Jeg's or Summit?

Wow their package for heads/cam/intake and all was only 1650. Surprising. Sounds like a good value for the power you stand to gain.
