Default Mileage Drop

Hi all. I'm wondering what is going on with my '04 Accord 4cyl/auto. I know that winter blend gas decreases mileage but I haven't seen this kind of mileage drop in all the years I've owned this car. I checked it yesterday and it's around 24 mpg. Plugs and air filter have been replaced recently. The purge control solenoid and the secondary oxy sensor were replaced last year with scan codes showing. Now It's showing no codes and no pending codes. What else might be causing this drop? I normally get at least 27 mpg in winter driving.

Have you recently installed a remote start feature?

Using a different gas station ? Station has too much water mixed into gas ?

Try different brand & station.

DO NOT USE COSTCO gas !!!! I dropped 20 % in the first tank. Normal is 150 miles at 1/2 with my V6....... COSTCO dropped to 100 miles at 1/2 tank.

No savings & not good for your engine to run crap like that.

I don't use Costco. I'm using the same stations I always use. I thought it might be the MAF sensor, so I cleaned it. It wasn't. Now I guess I'll have to wait and see if any codes show up. Or maybe it will fix itself. (yeah, right).

Exactly what are you doing to determine whether your fuel economy has suffered?

Well, I check it using odometer miles driven divided by gallons for a fillup. The same way I've always done it. That's why I know the MPG has dropped.

How many tanks have you averaged together? I ask because from tank to tank you really cannot tell much based upon the miles achieved in any one tank.

I've used this method since I bought the car and it's always been consistent each time I check it (about twice a month). And just for fun, I changed the plugs again and checked the air filter. I'll have to wait a week or so to check the mileage again.
