My '00 Accord Dilemma

Alright, here's the thing. I am 19 years old, trying to get a job in order to fuel my 'need for speed' so to speak. I have a few issues though. Do I buy a new car? Do I stick with my accord and tune it?
I have a 2000 Accord EX V-6 Coupe -- 200hp yadda yadda.
Anyways, I want to tune my accord for 300hp or more (if possible), the problem is I've done a bit of research and talked with a few car savvy friends of mine and I can't seem to find any way to get my accord to 300hp. 250hp, no problem though :/
Another problem is my Accord is FWD, which is of course great for the winter, but RWD is so much better for racing n such. So, because of that I have been considering a 300zx since I could easily trade my Accord for it and the insurance is very close. I really wish I could get my dream car, a 93-95 RX-7
So, is there any hope for me having a 300hp Accord? I'd really like to keep it since all everyone has around here are Focuses and Civics and only one guy with a nice Accord. Please Help.

Two ways to do it: Turbo it or Nitrous would be about the fastest and easiest... there are a few guys on here with turbo's on their cars and their engines had about 145,000 miles on them and they run fine... We're estimating one of the cars was making about 150-160 HP is now about 225 hp off of 8 psi. So I'd say it's VERY do-able and the whole turbo kit if you do it piece by piece and install it will only run about $1500-$2000
I don't know the specifics of a supercharger off the top of my head but if you're talking mainly off the line why not Nitrous? A small dry shot.... Nitrous is CHEAP fast power....

check that out nitrous for $470.00.... according to the ad it gives you 50-125 hp

Yeah, but, I was kinda against nitrous because it's not really the car making the hp, it's the nos. Anyways, I was thinking, what about turbo/twin-turboAND nos? Would that work? I would like the twin-turbo for the top speeds (highway n such) and the nos for the off the line stuff. I am not very car savvy yet (I am working on it :P) -- What do you think?
Also, let me bring the other issue back up, FWD.
Meh, then I still need to buy a new tranny. Right now I'm stuck with an automatic. I was thinking about going with sequential for faster shifts (faster than manual).

a swequential for straight line racing wouldn't be a bad idea... I'm fairly certain you could run the twin turbo and NO2 but you're probably going to want and rebuild the internals fairly soon after that or before you put it in... The whole FWD issue, if you're drag racing I honestly don't think it's that big of an issue... however I know VERY little about drag racing setups... how much money are you thinking of spending?

Well, as soon as I get this job, a good chunk of it will be put into tuning. About the FWD thing, I just really prefer RWD, but making a FWD car into a RWD will probably be the cost of buying another Honda so I don't think I'll worry about it.
I was also thinking of a single turbo, since twin turbos are so much more expensive.

The only things I know that could get you close: supercharger, intake, mainfold, exhaust, pulleys, sparkplugs and maybe a few other things that would inch it up. All of that would get you really close to 300, but would mean nothing unless you got your tranny up to snuff.
I've got the Comptech headers and CAI, MagnaFlow cat-back, UnorthodoxRacing pullies and Outlaw Engineering HeatBlok gasket. I've mainly gotten this stuff for better engine breathing, which should hopefully help with letting the engine work easier (better MPG - or at least that's what I keep telling myself
).
I'm not going to go the SC route, it's way too much - my previous car was a 1990 Toyota Tercel 5 spd, so my 2000 V6 Coupe is plenty!
If you are looking to go crazy with HP, take a look at Dr. Evil trannies, they are expensive, but they will build bullet-proof trannies.
As far as FWD, I would say it depends on why you would have the Accord in the first place. Dependability, good characteristics for driving is all good and well, but if your looking for the next FnF car, there are probably better ones to have. Like you said RX-7's are sweet, 300/350's are nice, or you could get real crazy with AWD Evo's or Subies. It really depends on what you are looking for overall.
Also, I don't have my car setup yet, I'm waiting to get some things done before it's ready for the 'Makeover'. Two jobs, school, and trying to take care of my house tend to get in the way, oh yeah, there's that thing called life too!
Anyways, hope I didn't ramble too much here...
