My car has done 300,000kms and is starting to burn oil. I am thinking of reconditioning the engine, but i was wondering if instead of getting the engine striped and replacing the worn out parts with stock replacements, i could put performance parts instead, and if so what parts could i put on?

I would like some parts that would increase the cars performance that are not too pricey. Maybe something like performance pistons, engine bearings ect...?

Another question that i have is that i was thinking of doing a engine head swap for the h22a D.O.H.C and i would like to know how much that would cost (approx) and the effort involved..?
