Need help with h22 vtec

Default Need help with h22 vtec

Hey everybody I need help I have a h22a with a p28 converted obd but it's not chipped. Vtec is not kicking in do I need to have my ecu chipped I'n order for vtec to kick in?if that's not the best ecu to use what would be?

areyou poppin a CEL?
how do you know vtec isn’t working? Converted to OBD1 or OBD2??
Need little more info to help you out....

Need little more info to help you out....

Truthfully I don't know a damn thing about hondas yet lol. But yes it's got a conversion harness to go to obd1 it's a non chipped p28ecu. Popping a cel not sure what that means but if u elaborate I can probably figure it out.....

CEL = check engine light.
But I'm confused how you know that vtec isn't working?...

Yes check engine light is on. How do I check obd1? I mean I don't hear a crossover nor feel any added power at that time from like 6 -8 rpm it sounds like it's going faster but it's not really going any faster I'n that part of the gear

ok so i checked them to day and it only kept repeating two codes primary 02 and secondary 02 thats it....
