Odometer STOPPED working??

My Odometer stopped at 84,999 miles and now it wont go any higher. Ever happen to anyone? Im wondering if i even want to get it fixed

i really have to though, anyone have experience with it?

If you have a 94-97 it's common.... sometimes you can just reset that maint required light and it willl start working again, reset the trip odom. too..

so basically people can just drivethousands of miles and theyr odometer will stay at 85k, and when they sell it they will get good money for it, but its actually got like 200k on it?
