Default p13?

ok i have a 95 honda accord wagon with the f22 not sure if its the obd1 or 2
first question is whats the easiest way for me to find out without having to lift the engine? is the vin able to tell me? if so how can i do that?
sec question is about the p13. i heard the p13 is the heads off of the h22a prelude. will this head bolt on to my f22 or is it impossible? i read of some guy who did this to his 93 accord and turbo'ed it. i dont wanna turbo it but it would be reat to put the vtech head on the f22 block so i wouldnt have to change out the whole engine tranny and ecu even tho im gonna have to change the ecu bcus of the vtech. so if you can please help me out with this i would appreciate it. also if anyone knows a place or website where i can buy either the head or tranny and engine and ecu for a cheap price ive been all over the internet and i havent been able to find them for less than like 1600 without shipping for all three so that would help also.

1995 4-cyl were OBD-1
The 1995 6-cyl engine was OBD-2 one year ahead of the EPA deadline.

If the engine's been swapped, anything is possible.

doing a h22 head swap is very possible. But not reliable. Unless you throw allot of money at the build. At the point your better off with a h22. As for the p13 will NOT run a h22 head on a f22 block. You will need to have a custom tune with a chipped p72 or p28 ecu. Also doing this head swap is ALOT of work and head ache.

You will have to find a used h22 water pump and take the gear off and have it pressed onto the f22 water pump. You will need a h22 and f22 water pipe and cut them both in half and weld. You will need a h22 crank timing gear. You will have to block off (wending is the best method) 2 oil orifices on the timing belt side of the head. Custom head gasket.

After doing all that work you will have very minimal power gain. Unless you swap out pistons to bump up your compression ratio. Iv heard ppl boring the block to 86mm so that it can accept the k20 pistons for the compression bump. But all in all your better off saving your money for a h22 since you want to have a all motor engine. If you are turbo then this head swap could be worth it to you. I started building one and decided to go all motor f20b.

220hp is the flywheel hp rating.
Also the h22 swap would be your better bet. This is why...to find a head gasket for a f20b engine is almost impossible. You have to get a custom one made and your looking in the upwards of $150+. There is NO bearing kit for the crankshaft. You have to piece one together. From b16/f23 engines....another extra expense since no one makes parts for this engine b/c it was NEVER used in a US honda/acura.
I would get a h22. B/c when something goes wrong (and it will) you can find parts any ware vs. having to go on a man hunt a looking for parts that will be over priced b/c of how rare they are. Also I’m not sure if you 95 is OBD1 or OBD2. If it's OBD2 you will need a conversion harness plus a OBD1 chipped p72 ecu. Your looking at close to $400 alone for tho 2 things.
For 2k on hmotorsonline.com you can get a h22 engine and trans ecu ect. ect. everything you need but the prelude driver side engine mount. Also I would spend the extra $300 and get the LSD trans. The h22 has 20ft lbs more tq than the f20b which is needed for the accords in a everyday driving situation. Don't get me wrong the f20b is a great engine. I'm even swapping one in my cb7. I going the f20b rout b/c I got a killer deal on the engine and I'm doing a bit of custom work...long story short the f20b is NOT a bad engine just not parts are available when things go wrong.

About that other website...
Active links to selling sites are not allowed, unless they are paying sponsors.

Links to other sites (non-selling sites) are kinda a grey area. I usually make them like this (www dot honda-tech dot com) so it's not a working link but anyone can figure it out.

Well, you'll get booted pretty quick if you start posting ****. Talking about another Honda board isn't so bad. Thanks (really) for being careful about the rules.
